The Dirty Dozen

According to the Environmental Working Group, there exists a list of 12 fruits and veggies that contain the highest amount of pesticides that people might not have been aware of. Indeed, fruits are required for optimal health, but not when they are bogged with heavy chemicals, removing any trace of nutrition. The following produce are rated in descending order with the first having the most percentage of pesticides: peaches, apples, sweet bell peppers, celery, nectarines, strawberries, cherries, pears, imported grapes, spinach, lettuce and potatoes.
The 12 foods with the least amount of pesticides are: onions, avocados, frozen sweet corn, pineapples, mangoes, asparagus, frozen peas, kiwi, bananas, cabbage, broccoli and papayas.
